They say it never rains but it pours. That’s certainly the case with our new products.
This week we introduced our VIA QSM-8Q60 Qseven™ form factor module and the latest VIA EPIA-M920-20Q Mini-ITX SKU featuring a 2.0GHz VIA QuadCore E-Series processor – and have a lot more to come over the next month or so.
Unlike their PC market counterparts, customers in the embedded and Enterprise IoT segments require highly-customized solutions to meet their specific requirements. To meet these diverse needs, our strategy is to provide a broad range of standard board-level and system-level platforms that can be optimized for the target application.
Software customization is becoming increasingly important for Enterprise IoT deployments, particularly those featuring systems based on the ARM architecture. With each ARM SoC board and system we release, we include an Android and/or Linux BSP supporting all key onboard hardware features to facilitate system development management. For customers with limited in-house development resources we can also provide a full set of software customization services that speed up time to market and minimize development costs.
Over the medium term, we see a growing need for even more tightly-integrated solutions for specific enterprise IoT usage scenarios such as queue management that bring together the hardware, middleware, applications, and connectivity in a single easy-to-deploy package.
