Keelung Miaokou Night Market

Taiwan’s second largest port of Keelung (基隆) isn’t exactly one of the island’s most popular or famous tourist attractions, but it’s an interesting enough place to visit with its long history and harbor views.

The main highlight is the bustling Miaokou Night Market (廟口夜市), which features a dizzying array of delicious and inexpensive seafood, snacks, and other dishes – all served in a colorful and lively atmosphere.

Keelung is about half an hour from Taipei by train or bus. The one-way fare is below NT$50 – or less than two US dollars.
