The engineering team did a great job in putting together the demo in time for CES and illustrating the key features and applications of the system with some simple but effective scenarios. The demo will make my task a lot easier when demonstrating it at the show. It’s far better to be able to show rather than just tell!
The global home and building automation markets are highly-fragmented, with competing players developing disparate systems and technologies, such as the multiple short-range wireless standards that are being deployed for connectivity to other devices and appliances. That’s why we have designed the VIA Alegro 100 to support all the most popular Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave, KNX-TP, and KNX-RF protocols as well Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The system’s flexible design provides customers with a wealth of options for configuring the system to meet their exact deployment requirements.
As a member of the OCF, we have also designed the VIA Alegro 100 to meet the requirements of the organization’s certification program. The world’s largest IoT industry standards group, the OCF is playing a pivotal role in creating free and open IoT standards and accelerating their implementation through the IoTivity open source software framework. We strongly support the great work the OCF is doing to enable IoT device interoperability, and look forward to further contributing towards its growth this year.
If you’re going to CES 2017, you’re more than welcome to drop by the OCF booth to see the VIA Alegro 100 and all the other great demos that will be on display there. The booth is located at Sands, Halls A-D – #40930.
