Thus it flows

子在川上曰:「逝者如斯夫!不舍晝夜。」
Confucius stood by a stream and said: “Thus it flows, never ceasing day and night.”

A pleasant change of pace – though not a particularly original observation from Confucius. Water has long provided a convenient metaphor for would-be philosophers.

Read into it what you please.
